Rana Tanveer Hussain is the Federal Minister for Industries and Production.
He held the position of Chairman Public Account Committee from 2019 to 2022. He also remained the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Finance. He remained Federal Minister for Defence Production and Minister for Science and Technology from 2013 to 2018. He remained the Federal Minister of Federal Education & Professional Training from April 2022 till August 2023.
Rana Tanveer Hussain was born on 1st October 1949. He did his LL.B and Master in Economics from the University of the Punjab. He started his political career in the local government when he was elected as a member of Strict Council Sheikhupura in 1983. He was elected as a Member of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in 1985, 1988, 1990, 1993, 1997, 2002, 2008, 2013, 2018 and 2024. He is a seasoned parliamentarian and has significant contributions to the politics of Pakistan. He is a staunch supporter of the rule of law.
