INTRODUCTION

Teachers play pivotal role in quality education. The civilizations are raised and preserved by teachers and this objective can only be translated into reality through quality teachers. The teacher quality encompasses a range of skills, competencies and motivation. The quality education demands availability of competent teachers.

It is crucial to facilitate and provide professional capacity building opportunities, by designing and executing effective teachers training programs, for large number of un trained employed teachers while they can keep their jobs intact to ensure bread and butter of the families.

The certificate in teaching course especially caters for the needs of such teachers/individuals who cannot afford to attend regular classes as the organizations/schools generally do not/cannot allow them long leave. It is also very hard for them to foot the expenses of their studies without having any job or financial support.

OBJECTIVES

The participants will be able to:

Module 1V – Designing and Development of Teaching Aids

• What is teaching aid
• Why to use teaching aid

• Types, Merits and Demerits of different teaching aids
• Techniques to develop teaching aid

Module V- Class Management

METHODOLOGY

Interactive lectures, Video Clips, Discussion, Brain Storming, Individual and Group Presentations, Case Studies, Role Plays, Home Assignments, Field Visits, Handouts, Assessment tests at the end of each module.

The program is of 3 Months. Classes will be held on Saturday 11:00am – 05:00pm
