ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE:
The Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) is the pioneer of executive development in Pakistan and specializes in the training and development of managers from business and industry.  Its primary mission is to serve the growing and complex needs of organizational managers and to enhance their managerial skills  through training, consultancy and research.  Since PIM's inception in 1954, more than 127,500 managers have participated in its courses.

PIM was established by the Government of Pakistan to promote management development in the country.  It functions under the Ministry of Industries & Production with an autonomous Board of Governors appointed by the Federal Government.  The Secretary, Ministry of Industries & Production, is the Chairman of the Board.  The operating head of PIM is the Director, who is responsible for administrative and academic affairs and is also a member of the Board of Governors.

PIM is a non-profit organization and its financial requirements are derived from course fees, contributions from member organizations and government grants.  It has been a recipient of technical assistance from many international aid-giving agencies and is widely recognized at home and abroad as the country's leading management development institute.

PIM's linkage in the past with the Harvard Business School and with Arthur D Little, PE International and Ashridge Management College gives it strong international support.

OUR RESOURCES:
PIM's faculty consists of a multidisciplinary group of highly qualified and trained counselors having a blend of academic and industrial experience.  They are experts in their field of specialization, many of whom hold advanced foreign qualifications.  The full time faculty is supported by a group of visiting faculty drawn from business and industry.

Our purpose-built facilities include fully equipped training centers at Karachi and Lahore with a capacity to train 200 managers per week.
